Explore Zhangjiajie National Forest Park

Zhangjiajie National Forest Park was the first national forest park in China and was listed on the World Natural Heritage List in 1992. The site is a must-visit attraction on your Zhangjiajie tours. There are more than 3,000 strange peaks of various shapes and sizes, which are formed by sandstone landform.

Yuanjiajie is one of the core scenic spots of Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and one of the shooting locations of Avatar. Tianmen Cave is the highest natural bridge cave in the world. Take a cable car or climb the long stairway to reach Tianmen Cave and admire magnificent views of the peaks and canyons.

Tianmen Mountain Glass Plank Road is the longest glass trail in the world, with a total length of about 1.6 kilometers. Walk  on the glass trail to overlook the canyon over 1,000 meters below for an exciting experience. Also take the Tianmenshan Cableway for stunning scenery of the mountains and forests.

Admire the Huanglong Cave

Huanglong Cave is located in Wulingyuan Scenic Spot, the core scenic spot of Zhangjiajie City, which is a typical karst landform. The total area of the proven cave floor is 100,000 square meters, divided into four levels.

The interior of Huanglong Cave consists of several halls and passages. Various kinds of stalactites hang from the roof of the cave, showing a colorful scene under the light. The underground river inside the cave meanders with clear streams, reflecting the rocky landscape of the cave.

Wander through the Ancient Town of Fenghuang

The Ancient Town of Fenghuang is an area inhabited by 28 ethnic minorities, including the Miao, Han and Tujia. It is an ancient city with a long history of more than 300 years, and is one of the top 10 cultural heritages in Hunan.

The buildings in the ancient city retain the styles of Ming and Qing Dynasties, with stone roads and wooden ancient buildings. Ancient Town of Fenghuang also displays the cultural features of Miao, Tujia and other ethnic minorities. Experience the rich minority culture while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Learn about Tujia Culture in Furong Town

Furong Town is famous for its rich culture and wonderful natural landscape. The town preserves a large number of ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Here, Tujia hammock buildings are built along the mountains and water. You can experience the colorful culture and history of Tujia. Admire the Tujia brocade, as well as tasty traditional delicacies such as rice tofu and Tujia smoked meat.
